We went to Gateway Mall and watched the kids play on the wave machine. the weather was terrible so they didnt have it going too high but the kids loved it!

I finally got to see a lion today! After 2 days at the game reserve we didnt see a lion so we went to the Lion Park and saw many lions! They are massive animals but so cute and cuddly - it was tempting to get out of the car and go have a snuggle!

Kudo are stunning animals with beautiful antlers. They make good biltong too!

We got to pet a real life adult cheetah!

Rhino

It is so heart breaking that these beautiful animals are constantly being poached. the week after this trip 7 rhinos were found dead in the same reserve.

Elephants

We saw many beautiful elephants bathing in the water hole. we were boxed in by them for nearly an hour. It was such an amazing experience!

Giraffe

We had a lovely day in the Umfolozi Game Reserve. We saw lots of animals and I even was naughty and got out of the car to take this pic.

Birthday party

Today Mum and I went to Hamilton for a 6 year old girl's birthday party. The family used to live in our street a few years ago and Mum often looked after the kids. This photo is of Grace and her beautiful pink cake. The theme was disco and the girls spent lots of time dancing and playing games which was great fun.

It was also Father's Day today so I got my Dad a carrot cake.

Cousins

I caught up with my cousin Calvin today. I don't think I've seen him for about 20 years. he grew up in Gisborne and used to come to Nana's for the holidays but they stopped coming once they were teenagers so I haven't seen him. I missed my Nana's birthday last year so missed catching up with all my cousins so it's good to make the effort now. These pics are of me Calvin and my aunt Raewyn and the other is with Calvin's girlfriend Samantha. Another Hunt cousin that dwarfs me. I am the oldest of the cousins and the shortest!
